You can try rosin, it makes the soles of your shoes sticky. You could also try water in a spray bottle. Not enough to soak it, just to put a light coating on it. It also depends on what dance surface you are working on?? If it is wood, rosin. preferably not water... lol. But if it is Tarket? then use water or even just sc the bottoms of your shoes with a key. This can roughen up the soles and make it less slippery, if only marginally. wearing them on cement for a couple of minutes has the same effect. But DONT use rosin on tarket. i have goflex 1tb external drive, running XP pro, XP home, Ubuntu, and Fedora. i have used the drive to backup all of my computers in the past, but today i was using it to move a music file from XP pro computer to the Ubuntu computer. the file was successfully copied to the drive, then i "Safely Remove Hardware" hooked the drive up to the other computer and the drive powered up, but nothing else happened. i unhooked it from that computer and plugged it into the XP home computer and got "USB Device Not Recognized" unhooked it from that computer went to Fedora computer got nothing, went back to XP Pro computer and got "USB Device Not Recognized" again. then came to the seagate website. followed the directions, tried everything suggested except opening it's case. if anyone has an answer that doesn't risk voiding my warranty please help.

Oh yes, for some reason it's impossible to get my daughter to lay down without a mive scream fest,if she is really over tired, she just won't give in, She is 11 months old right now and she takes a 30 min nap in the am usually around 9 am and goes down for a 2 maybe 3 hours on some days in the afternoon usually around 1 pm. Her schedule has been the same except her morning nap was one hour when she was 9 months old. Also she usually goes down for bedtime around 8 pm.

You will be with a technologist, however as a student you will be expected to work independently. When you first start you should be able to quickly handle chest x-ray and KUBs. As you advance what you do will change. The only way to learn to take a x-ray is to do them, hands on the machine and hands on the patient. The technologist is there to keep you from screwing up too bad. Some of us old tech are better at stepping back and letting you do things than others, I personally am horrible if I see a error about to happen I just have to step in and yes I know I use to drive students crazy. I was also a stickler for correctness on check offs. First couple weeks pay attention to the departments protocols and methodology. The number one no-no is to be working with a technologist and let the words " but the book says" slip from your mouth. The book tells you the basic way to get images on the perfect patient and you need to know all those weird angles and landmarks. Unfortunately sometimes things need to be done differently according to the patient condition and injury. Always have your markers on you and available. Help with cleaning and patient care duties. Some days you will wonder just what you have gotten yourself into, but remember a great career is at the end of the program.

I have a 10 year old son who has cerebral palsy, seizures, learning/mental/physical disabilities, etc. His dad and I divorced about 4 yrs ago after I found out he was having an affair. His dad then left for 1 1/2 years without a word or any type of contact w our son. After a yr and a half, he started seeing our son again. One over night a week. (This was his decision, not mine.) I do have sole custody, with "reasonable visitation" per court orders when we divorced. Anyway, he is now planning to move to S.C (from AZ) at the end of June. He wants our son for at least 3 1/2 weeks during the summer. I am SO worried about my sons mental well being during the seperation. He thrives on a set schedule. Has had the same one, with the same people and environment for four years. I know he will be safe with my ex but I am truely worried about his stability Does my ex stand a chance at winning visitation thru the courts? What about my sons therapy and special needs day care here? I am so scared and so worried. Doesnt my ex have to notify the courts anyway? How much of a notice? Anyone have any advice??

I have had the same sterling silver chain and charm for over 3 years and never had to clean it until recently, when it suddenly turned black, very quickly. I got some liquid jewelry cleaner and cleaned it, following the instructions. It was only silver for about a day before it turned black again. I tried with a silver cleaner that was paste, recommended to me by someone as the best silver cleaner they've ever tried, and it did the same thing. Anyway I know a guy who also has seizures and luckily he's been around people who help him out. Do you know why an unpleasant odor comes from my bathtub drain?

There is no hair or anything gross in the drain and it runs perfectly well so there is no blockage. We clean them often. The odor isn't all the time, just now and then but it can last several days. Sometimes running water down the drain gets rid of it but not always. We are on a septic system but have had no problem with slow running drains.

There is a married couple that we've been friends with for almost 10 years. They wanted to relocate from where they used to live to where we live, and asked us if we would take them in for a little while until they can get jobs and an apartment. I spoke with my husband and he gave it the OK. When they finally arrived they came with 2 HUGE dogs! (I have 2 little dogs in my house). I told them that those dogs had to stay outside. The first night the dogs were rowdy and since it was cold outside I allowed them to bring them into their room under the condition that during the day the dogs will remain outdoors. Well, now I have a "carpet" of dog hair all over my house!! While my hubby and I are working they keep the dogs inside despite of what I told them!! Both are nice but I would go with the outback. Both are nice to drive, good handling and safe. The AWD system is the same on both. Head room is good in both. I would suggest you take both for a good test drive and see which one would fit your needs best. The Forester has a base 2.5 litre 4 cylinder engine that gives 173 HP. The Out back the same. My husband is being transferred to a city 2 hours away, should we move there?

He will be working 4 days per week, we do not know his days off yet. He is planning on renting a room and coming home on his days off. We figured out the gas and the amount we would spend in gas would about equal the rent he'd be paying. I am a teacher who has tenure, while I could probably find a position in the new city, I am very happy where I teach and I'm sure that this late in the summer, the good positions will already be taken. Wiper relay for 2001 VW golf?

I have a 2001 VW golf gti and lately I've been having a real problem with my wipers..They only work on very fast, the slow and intermittent speeds don't work, and neither does the wipers when you spray the windshield cleaner. We just replaced that whole windshield wiper control switch that is by the steering wheel thinking that was the problem but the problem still persists..The motor works so it can't be that and we tested the fuses..I'm thinking it may be the wiper relay has gone bad, it's either that or something under the wipers themselves..But I can't seem to find the relay box..When I look under the wipers, outside of my car I see a white plastic box hidden under, inside but I don't know if that is it or not. I went online and some said it was under the steering wheel on the right side under the plastic but we just took those all off to replace the switch and didn't see anything like that. Please help!

Firstly, you use of swear words is a turn off. Secondly, if you are talking and disturbing the cl the teacher should move you. If you forgot something for cl the teacher should call you on it. Unsecured loans for start up business, do they exist?

Trying to start a business. My credit is not so good, we tried a nonprofit but need collateral, which we don't have. All we need is $16000 to start. Came across readings about "unsecured loans" through some christian.net or com website. So I did more search and read on a few questions and answers through this link, but no one responded with real experience from any of these supposedly unsecured lenders. I tried calling one American One Unsecured but they require a cost upfront of $400. I read in one of the links that upfront costs are usually a scam so I didn't go for it. Do you think that by watching videos and reading some books a person can actually learn Tai Chi or ...?

Having studied several martial arts for over 41 years, I can only say that books and videos can only give you an idea of how things are done. To use them is to mimic the moves but have no understanding. Books and videos can't correct errors. Those errors could be serious ones that would get you killed in a life threatening situation. Only a competent instructor can teach correctly and fix errors before they become habit. Combat is ever changing. Books, videos, and even real martial arts cles teach by scenarios. One must master the technique, timing, distance, ...tec. then in order for someone to really have self-defense skills, it is necessary to learn how to adapt to any situation in an instant. Things never happen in real fights the way you practice for them. Only much experience can prepare someone for the unexpected things that happen in real fights. Learning form books and videos is at best like trying to become a surgeon by only reading books and watching videos. I certainly would not let anyone that learned that way operate on me.

Why doesn't GTA 4 have a m garage for many cars like in past GTA's?

Seriously, I really enjoyed being able to pull to the docks or my big garage in GTA3 and calling up any vehicle I wanted. I believe there was a similar feature in GTA:VC. I really liked being able to have any car in the game at my disposal, but in GTA4 the reserved parking even seems to be unreliable sometimes.

Yes, they know what they're getting into. Okay, I can see how the papparazzi can get annoying, it seems like they really can invade privacy. Egg drop lab ideas? 8th grade. :)?

We have to do an egg drop lab. Everything we use has to be BIODEGRADABLE. (no plastic, styrofoam, sponges, etc. We can not tape or glue things directly on the egg. No parachutes or anything like that. It has to be smaller than a foot in all directions. Preferably under 16 g. No more that 30. Any ideas?

The professor doesn't help the situation. He makes comments in front of the cl how she got all the answers right and she was the first person to hand in her test. It disrupts the cl because the students are trying to catch up. The student doesn't annoy me as much as the teacher because he doesn't know how to conduct the cl. If I was a teacher, I would not make such comments.

I have a Finding Nemo book that I have condensed so that I won't lose the children's attention. 2 month old with bad gas.. what can i give her?

I have done the mylicon the gripe water and colic calm. all dont seem to work and she is in such pain. i have done tummy mages and lots of exercise with her, i have also bought pre-mi for her bottles and she still seems to be gy. the drs say she is fine but i know she is not. i have never seen a infant in such pain and discomfort. is there anything else out there I can give her to ease her pain and to help her p the gas and also stop being so constipated?

i think its fine however i dont recommend it. stay clear of scented beddings as they might not be appreciated by yout hamsters and soft wood is generally not recommended to use as bedding as they give off oils which can be harmful. you could buy a similar bedding with no scent and made of hard wood shavings however the best option is to buy a bedding made of recycled paper as this is the most absorbent and the safest for rodents as its usually not dusty and doesnt give off any harmful chemicals. these include carefresh bedding, and yesterdays news cat litter theres another cat litter made of recycled paper but i cant remember the name. its up to you but i would probably go with carefresh or one of the cat litters cause ive read they are the best. good luck and im glad u care enough about your pets to ask around whats safe for them. if all pet owners were like you no animal would be mistreated

I've been with this guy for over 3 months now in a long distance relationship. We've always had fights..little fights that are always solved after a day or two. However, over the past month..the fights have become more and more frequent, harder to resolve and even more painful. It seems that each time, i'm the cause for the fight..due to my reserved nature, my tendency not to open up about my feelings all the time..but even then, i compensate by giving him my time and listening to his problems. The tetras will help to cycle it. However, fish used to cycle tanks often time die very quickly due to the spikes in ammonia and nitrite. If you want to add your fish right away, I would try to get some Tetra Safestart. This supplies the right kind of live nitrifying bacteria to your tank to get it started. I have used this in cycling my aquariums and have had good luck with it. My ammonia spikes were not as bad and did not last as long as they would have if cycled with fish alone, and I'd never encountered any nitrite spikes. Once the ammonia levels dropped I began to show nitrates and my aquariums have been fine ever since. You could also do a fishless cycle by using the Safestart and adding your own pure ammonia into the tank. Keep feeding ammonia into the tank daily and test the water as you would with the fish in it. Add ammonia in the morning and test the water in the afternoon. If it reads zero ammonia in the afternoon and you have no nitrite and are showing nitrate then you are set. But if you are cycling this way, I would change 100% of the water before adding your fish just in case there are any remnants of other chemicals in with the ammonia.

My Betta fish has started behaving strangely - hanging in the top corners of his tank.?

I've had him for almost 6 months now (along with 1 x goldfish, 1 x Oranda, 1 x Black Moor & 1 Pleccy). No probs. there, they all get on fine. And yes, I know it's not the best combination - despite the guys at the shop where I bought them telling me that Betta's can live fine in cold water! Not impressed with them anymore!! Anyway - my problem is that Schumy (the Betta), has started behaving strangely these last few days - he's hanging at the top of the tank in the corners, and keeps laying on his side. He seems to be struggling to keep upright, and with swimming to the bottom of the tank. He's eating ok, but just seems really lethargic. Is it because the weather's turned cooler, or does he have swim-bladder problems? If it's the water temp. do you think it'd be ok to put a heater in and warm the tank a little (bearing in mind my other fish are definitely cold water guys). I'm going to buy a bigger tank this weekend anyway as they've grown plenty. HELP!! Thanks PS: sorry to go on.

Mutts vs Purebred health issues?

Purebreds are generally healthy if they came from a responsible breeder and not a backyard breeder (BYB). A responsible breeder does genetic testing on their dogs and don't breed any dog that tests positive for known genetic problems. Buying an AKC registered dog proves that the dog is a purebred, but the AKC are not the breeder police. An AKC registered dog does not insure the health of the dog. As far as mutts go, they may be healthier or they may have those same defective genes in their blood. Your best bet is finding a responsible breeder. The AKC website has a link for locating breeders, but ultimately it will be up to you to ask the breeder whether they do genetic testing, to show you proof of their dogs bloodlines and a responsible breeder will want to know about you! A responsible breeder isn't in it for the money, by the time they do all this testing and proper vet care they are LUCKY if they make a profit. They do it for the love of the breed, and they care a great deal about the home of their puppies will go to.

Talk to an FHA lender about this. Just remember your resale value will be much higher on a stick built home than a manufactured home. Also, the rate will be higher on a manufactured home. They fought in different eras, different weight gloves, different styles...all else equal, the older fighter knew the game better, had more heart, but lacked the power and size. Power however often fades as fights progress and Baer and Dempsey and the Rock annihilated many big guys, as did Joe Louis (i.e. Buddy Baer, Maxie's brother)...so I'm just guessing.
