Bra measuring question?

when you go to get measured for your bra size how do you di it? do you go to victoria's secrete? or do you do it yourself at home? If you do it by your self, do you know how to, or do you have to look it up? (I am not asking because I need to get measured, I just want to know.) Thanks :)
