When i connect to my wifi homegroup in windows 7 it says i cannot connect because not allowed please help!!!!!?

hi i have a pc connected to a netgear wgr614 v9 wireless router and a laptop with an internal wireless card both having windows 7 ultimate..... I have setup a wifi homegroup and i have windows 7 ...after setting up the homegroup I can see my laptop's name in my computer > in the left pane network but when I click on it it shows- you are not allowed to access this network possible reasons are blank pwords are not allowed , logon hour restrictions AND SOMETNING LIKE THAT SO PLEASE STEP BY STEP INFORMATION(as i am a rookie) HOW TO CORRECT THIS AND i have put the pword on both the systems but it is not connecting............. Please help
