"Roseanne" fans, i'm confused...?

ok i was just watching an episode of roseanne, in which DJ (played by John Goodman in a black wig) was middle aged and in therapy with Jackie. The episode was mainly flashbacks of other episodes as the physciatrist was trying to figure out why DJ was insane. In the last few minutes, the Doctor said "if only we could see inside his head", then it shows DJ is thinking of alot of clips of Becky. He keeps muttering "they say shes the same, but she isnt the same" over and over. I know in episodes the show hints about how both Lecy and Sarah played Becky in the show, is this just one of those times?
