How bad is this swine flu really?

I was just watching the news... and it's really bad... the numbers are spreading as we sit and read this information. The worst can be seen in Mexico where they had to close down workplaces and schools. But they are hypothesizing that as it spreads the virus is getting weaker and not replicating as much. So if you live in Mexico - it's bad but other parts not so bad.
