Septic problems.........?

You NEVER add bleach to a septic tank. This will kill the Bacteria necessary to make the septic system work. If you are smelling foul odors, this could be deadly. Methane gas can not only overwhelm you, but it is highly explosive. Call the health department , housing control or any agency that may have the jurisdiction to force the landlord to make the proper changes to protect you. Of course this may prove to be an uninhabitable dwelling. Therefore you may have to move if this cannot be repaired. Don't wait, though, this could be very serious.
